LOS ANGELES, CA – FUEL TV, the action sports lifestyle network, and Standard Films are proud to announce the premiere of Season 4 of the “The Standard Snowboard Show” on November 20, 2007 at 8:00pm ET/PT during the Snow Pack programming block. This season, the masters of snowboard filmmaking use their cinematic skills and access to the world’s greatest riders to update the show with a new format and outstanding footage from across the globe. This season combines athlete profiles, unique terrain, backcountry riding, and new features to take the show to a whole new level.
Check out some of the most progressive snowboarding ever seen in the new season of “The Standard Snowboard Show,” with highlights including neck-deep powder heli boarding in Terrace B.C., the Superpark Build Off in Colorado, and Danny Kass shredding the mountains in Norway and Aspen. Watch the Standard Films featured riders including the Jackson brothers, Mark Landvik, Mitch Reed, Chas Guldemond, Mason Aguirre, and Mads Jonsson push the outer limits of technical riding.
This season debuts a new format with special segments that will run in each show. Pro snowboarder Travis Parker hosts “Slam Extravaganza,” which breaks down the best snowboard crashes and wrecks caught by Standard Films. “Stoney Moments” features a montage of unique snowboard and nature images mixed with the essence of the sport.
“Standard was one of our first original series at FUEL TV, and it’s been great to watch it evolve over the years,” says Shon Tomlin, FUEL TV’s VP of Programming and Development. “This new season has a few surprises, which fans should find pretty entertaining – especially Travis Parker’s ‘Slam Extravaganza’ segment, which is sure to keep the thumbs off the remote.”
Standard Films is a global leader in snowboard motion media since 1992. Located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, California, Standard Films has captured the essence of snowboarding in more than 20 films and multiple televisions shows for FUEL TV.
