Jennie Lakes is located between and bordering Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. It first came to mind becasue it is often where people end the “Haute Route” of the Sierra Nevada mountains or to say a winter time traverse of the Sierras. It is not a thing to be taken lightly, there are no hotels, no real trails, no help for days. Anyway, My dad and I backpacked the area around the Siliman Crest and the Jennie Lakes wildernes for a few days.
